++my bad, 10 is actually the roster size cause of Quinn++
The funny thing about these guys is I look our top players like Tage and Dylan and think it only costs us 14mil, and I compare those to the Leafs Matthews and Marner, which costs them 23mil a year. Now Nylander wants 10+ mil because they gave the other 2 big contracts. And you worry about our cap as I'm sure Adams does but this is where I do not know where the leafs can even maintain their talent. The answer is…they can't. 1 year contracts rule their club. Adams doesn't get enough credit for the money management he does.
I think you’re overstating what Power will get right now.. .His pro-resume is still only a few games more than 1 season and he’s going to be an RFA w/o Offersheet options next year. He hasn’t don’t like Rasmus and had a big year yet. I think we’ll see about 3 year and between 3 and 4M… at best.. 3 years moreso because he still don’t have the extentive resume and still hasn’t done enoug to earn the big money.. Rasmus.. Now he’s going to get paid… He’s coming off a bridge and he’s had 2 back to back big years… Well paid he will be and deservedly so.
I've been excited about the idea that we will be able to afford at least 1 more high end player, probably two, that no other team will be able to do. Having our top two centers locked up so inexpensively. Most teams can only afford 1 elite defenceman. We can comfortably afford two. That Sammy contract is gold as well. I keep saying it, dynasty. Adding in all that top young inexpensive talent allows us to trade away some of them for more prospects and draft picks when they are due to make money we can no longer afford. Look at what top two centers cost now. We're paying for decent, not elite, wingers. Glad you touched on this because it brings me great joy! lol

Nobody talks about when Skinner’s contract is coming off the books. He will be replaced with Benson…. 9 million will help pay the kids….
If Skinner can keep producing the way he did this past year for the remainder of his contract, I’ll start being ok with where it’s at. But if his production slides, then I’ll consider him “overpaid”. Can’t take the money back, so we just need to hope he finishes his contract out like he deserved it.

Greenway was getting slightly more icetime than Quinn and Peterka during his 17 games here. That is nonsense, I know Greenway is the coaches Son but come on man, we drafted JJ and Quinn and they can actually score. I want to see Peterka play a lot this year instead of sitting on the bench for long periods. We don’t need any free agents he will be better than anyone we sign.
I’m good at reading body language and in an interview our GM was asked about Mittlestadt contract, my summary is Fats will play out his last year then after that they will sign him if he scores well again.
Options galore. Certain veterans will be moved to open up cap space & roster spots. In GMKA we trust. 👍
