    I think Kris just laughed at JD with his TO comment (everyone wants to play there) LOL sorry leafs not every one wants to play there. I also like the light shot at JD (pretending JD 'knows" so much)

    This is such stupid thinking. Nylander is legitimately the only one of these core 4 that actually carries the weight of his contract and actually outperformed his last deal. Now he scores 40 and carries his weight in the playoffs and everyone wants him gone.

    This is the EXACT pattern that has screwed over the leafs year over year and watched so many talented players leave and win cups else where. It's just brain dead. If one of these guys needs to be moved you look at JT or Marner first, two guys that overasked (JT i dont blame but Marner I do) and repeatedly under delivered.

    I live in Canada. I have yet to see in my 40 years an ad with a Leaf…sorry but its Ove or Sid or McDavid…get over ur self.

    To sign a player like Pasta or MacKinnon in Toronto for their same net income, you're looking at $14-15 million contracts if it was in Ontario. Most of the top teams have three players making more net income than any Leaf. If Nylander signs for $9 million in Tampa Bay, he'd be making more than any Leaf.

    Well, the good thing is Dubas gave Marner a NMC for the last two years of that horrific contract. So Marner has all the leverage, can’t trade him.
    I hope BT is better at contract negotiations that Dubas.

    leafs should stop messing around and trade this guy for a defensive minded defenseman. Nylander is a fluff playoff player who folds against physical play. just ;like other three fluffers demonstrated against fllorida

    Trade him , get rid of him. Typical euro player that turns it on in the last year of his contract , then coasts until he's due again. The Leafs have enough gutless weak players on their team , losing one wont hurt them.

    I'm a Blackhawks fan and take a look at what Kane and Toews did, showed up in the playoffs, won 3 Stanley cups and then signed their massive deals. Do the work and then get paid.

    i think roughly $1M gets you right handed 6'5'' 24 year old dman in cal foote who is sitting on the ufa market right now just after supper time on july 4th but the leafs need to make a trade first to be cap compliant lol i wonder if the contracts signed and hes committed but they can't send it through registry at the moment

    If your the type of player who's willing to cripple the salary cap and squeeze every dollar and hurt the teams chances of wining? Get rid of them
