Are the Maple Leafs a better team now than they were last year?

TSN Hockey analyst Jeff O’Neill joins Jay Onrait to discuss the moves that Toronto general manager Brad Treliving has made, if the players brought in can help change the culture in the locker room, which new addition will make the biggest impact to the Maple Leafs next season and if this team is constructed better than last years.

  1. The gm change was so necessary. Team is better without dubas. Treliving is fantastic

  2. 100% love the adds. Feel like Nylander will stay for 9.33….brodie and murrary will be off the books and klinberg…..gunna need their young D to step up

  3. Please boost your audio a bit. Every single video TSN uploads has like 25% less volume levels than pretty much every other channel.

  4. Reaves will be a cancer in that room 100%. He Talks like he is the first line center and he plays like a minor league one.

  5. They still have to deal with cap issue somehow. New contract for Samsonov and they are at least 12 million over, Even with Muzzin in long time injury list and if they could sell or buy out Murray they would still be over cap.

  6. older but i dont think better. Treiliving doesnt know what he is doing. He makes every team older and more expensive he ruined calgary and now he is doing the same with his new team in toronto. In a year the leafs will be embarrassing and not go any further in the playoffs. This is the start of a worse team now not better then last year.

  7. No, no they aren't. They're still Canada's biggest joke, and NOTHING is EVER going to change that! BLOW LAFFS BLOW!!!!!

  8. The Klingberg signing was horrendous. The guy is awful defensively (like you have to keep him sheltered). I also don't think he can surpass Rielly for pp1. They needed to keep Schenn, or bring in another big, rugged defenseman who can hit, kill penalties, etc.

  9. It's way too early to ask this question. Wait until all contracts fit under the salary cap.

  10. I'm an Avsfan and we have Kurtis MacDermid for an enforcer. Certainly not really there for the play. So I can't really complain at Toronto for getting tougher at free agency. You just can't be pushed around as a team with all the talent and if that other team notices it, you are taken advantage of usually.

  11. They look more like a legit NHL team.
Dubas knew how to make a pretty team. He's very idealistic and maybe what the future might look like, but definitely not working in today's NHL.
