Brandon Duhaime is filing for arbitration today. #mnwild are aware of it. Just part of process as Duhaime’s camp has had positive talks w team on getting deal done. That’s the plan/hope. Gustavsson is other Wild RFA w arb rights

Not the Arb filling I was expecting to see today, but I guess im not surprised either. Would bet they get a deal done before it gets to the arb ruling.
how much would you guys be willing to give Duhaime? im thinking no more than like 1.5 at the very very most.
The fact that Gus/Overhardt continues to hold out from getting a deal done, is going to necessitate kicking the can on Dewy and Addison. He’s not doing the team any favors, and I have to wonder how long GMBG is willing to play the game, before he starts getting shopped.
Have to think arbitration would favor the team. Mostly bottom 6 minutes, no powerplay, only part time PK, and doesn’t score a lot of points, plus he missed time with an injury last year for two separate stretches. Hard for arbitration to assign value to the intangibles.
Also, there’s a couple guys waiting in the wings in Beckman and Walker who are ready for an opportunity, so if the number comes in too high, he can chase his bag and we can afford to let him go. I’d rather not see him go, but it’s not like we are a Brandon Duhaime away from a cup run
