As a yotes fan, I like the signing, we might not have star players but we have plenty of cap space and seemingly the GM has a vision where the team should be heading. The only potential issue with Chychrun are his inhuries (he fell in his draft class because of this for anyone who doesn't remember).

Was at the game tonight. Red Wings have never lost a game that I been to and 3/4 of the ones I've gone to were blowouts. As someone who was pissed the Wings didn't choose him in that draft, I feel like it's still a good deal for both sides. I'm also gonna eat some crow on that because Cholowski has ended up being pretty solid for us this season so far and it's working out for both sides then.
The signing doesnโt mean theyโre looking to keep him, I almost feel like they asked Chicago if they were ok with that amount since he will probably be traded there soon… Iโm stuck wondering whatโs going to happen to the team after the (rumored) sale goes through, are they staying or going to Houston? Talk about them going to the central division when Seattle comes around have me worried

Yep, absolutely love this deal. I think if he can have a full season or two with no injuries or an injury or two that doesnโt sideline him for very long, heโs going to really grow his game. Heโs not afraid to step up in the rush and take charge but heโs got the speed to get back and make a play on defense. Two years into the deal and I think this looks like a steal. Plus it keeps our top 5 defensemen together for at least the next 3 years, I believe. Havenโt had stability like that here in a while. Great video!
I want a whiteout and if this helps us get there Iโm all for it. His injuries are a question mark. But when heโs healthy heโs a great asset on the ice.
