    Honestly wouldn’t be that upset if we don’t get him. Bit of an injury history and not sure he fulfills our “finisher” need completely, production has dropped off the last couple of seasons and underlying analytics are meh

    Take how bitter I was about the Marchment news and multiply it by a thousand. That will be my mood if Tarasenko is in anything but a Canes jersey next year.

    One thing that isn’t ideal is that CAA doesn’t represent any current Hurricanes players. The closest player is TDA and he’s not with the team (yet).

    I don’t blame Tarasenko in this situation. I blame the agent and Shayna for leaking/allowing leaks before anything was actually confirmed. Would suck not to get him at this point, but if Tarasenko’s agent was sloppy with information or gave shitty advice, can’t blame him for booting him to the moon.

    Larry Brooks tweeted he was told there were multiple 5.5-6 million per offers of varying lengths from both contenders and rebuilds but Tarasenko rejected them all and fired his agent. The whole thing is strange.
