The video didnât show any of his cheap shot spears or slashes behind the knees of an opponent or him whining about getting hit on the boards. Cry baby Crosby might be a tremendous offensive player but the other crap he does on the ice takes away a lot of the respect he might have earned from fans outside of Pittsburgh. First ballot HOF but Iâll never like him.

Awareness is one of the most unteachable things, and Crosby has a boatload of it.

Crosby is a completely positional player. He knows where the puck will be and he knows where you donât think he will be.
Itâs actually really cool because Connor McDavid has a very similar style, but he adapts his speed in there too so he will put himself in a low threat spot and then zip right into that perfect spot. Mathews also does a similar thing but he instead of using speed uses his quick hands and big body to get into where he wants.
Itâs actually really cool seeing new players adapt that mentality into their game while adding their own spin on it.
It really helps you understand just how incredibly influential Crosby has been to the world of hockey.
