Habs Prospect Update – Hutson MVP, Mailloux Gone Wild



OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at some prospects of the Montreal Canadiens to see how they are doing. Lane Hutson was just awarded Hockey East tournament MVP, Logan Mailloux is currently leading the OHL in goals amongst defensemen, and JoshuWawa and Riley Kidney are torching the Q. The future.. is BRIGHT!

    we have a quinn hughes on defense.. thats huge.. now we need a Shea Weber. perhaps Mailloux is that? wow lol

    Can’t wait for next season already. Who makes the team. Who will play in Laval. I may get criticized for what I’m about to say. First time I saw Hutson I thought Bobby Orr!

    Makar and Fox are 5’11 , Q.Hugues is 5’10. Hutson is 5’10 as of now, has to gain weight but overall same size as these guys.

    woooooo Les Moteurs…. or HOLD YOUR HORSES…. The NCAA is a weak league in the Grand Scheme of things. I am excited by these lads. Lets not over value the Prospects.

    The Habs have what I call “The big seven”. Who are: Farrell, Hutson, Beck, Roy, Kidney, Mailloux, and Mesar. I think Farrell would look pretty good next to Suzuki and Caufield next season, or even just Suzuki for the last few games of this season

    I have a friend in the q and me and my buddies went to watch one of his games and it happened to be against Joshua Roy’s team. He’s amazing to see live and I cant wait to see how he develops with us in the future

    What does Lane Hudson and Bobby orr have in common … There protruding ears .. I hope they don't trade mlloiux for dubois.. please don't.

    I jumped onto the Lane Train right after the draft and the guy's only gotten better. I expect him to play another year in Boston but the future looks bright! I too always worry when they huddle like that. These guys are wearing sharp skates and all! I wouldn't want to be on the bottom of that!!

    So many great prospect! Some of them have to pan out, right?

    Are draft pick pool is amazing. We have so much circling the Habispheri and the stars are starting to allign! Nowwwww with that all being said. We have a lot of draft picks this year and I have a feeling Kent Magoo might pull a rabbit out of the hat come draft day.

    Hutson’s lateral mobility and deception are elite.

    His straight line acceleration/speed is average by nhl standards. That paired with will be his biggest hurdle to overcome.

    If he can improve his skating a little, he has every chance to become a #1 offensive d man in the mould of Quinn hughes

    I like most porpects but I'm not a big fan of pitlick. He has an attitude that I find annoying.

    Only 12 5on5 Assists for Mailloux in 56 games. On an elite team, too. Needs to improve a lot at passing for quality chances.

    36 games 47 points thats all fine and dandy but you forgot to mention the most important part…… he is a freaking And I mean FREAKING defenceman thats not a typo the kid has thoose numbers and he is a FREAKING DEFENCMAN I already love our 2025 stanley cup winning team ok ok maybe thats a stretch fine 2026 then ya happy now ohhhhh I am.
