   If the new guys coming in can change the atmosphere in the room and hold the so called core 4 accountable I believe they should be in good shape.
   They still have a cap mess to fix and that is going to necessitate a move that a lot of people are not going to like……

   JT needs to come off the books but the truth is because of that deal to begin with and the subsequent results or Mathews and Marner getting huge pay days off entry level and Nylander being the only one who got squeezed HARD but they folded like a deck of cards and that’s all DUB-ASS and his terrible decisions to sign in the orders he did and also fold on Marner now has us pinned an always has

   – why should Nylander be the one and ONLY one to take a hard hit he should get paid appropriately for his initial discounts (in comparison to the others) and that’s Dubas fault

   Mathews need to take a 1 mil raise at most max

   Marner at a stagnant 11mil max

   Nylander at 9.5 max

   All contracts need to be at least 6 years for Mathews/Nylander 5 for Marner and this will allow the cap to go up enough giving room to not only sign are own Hymans/Conner browns/ etc in the future but also have goaltending and solid D

   Anything other then this

   Well sorry to tell ya but we will just be watching another decade pass by with a “good team” that never becomes great. And just delays the process of another rebuild for the profit and jersey sales etc….

   If the cap goes up 10 mil for example and JT comes off the books that’s 21 mil now if the core 3 take up and additional 4 mil that leaves 17 mil to replace a second line center let’s say 5 mill min
   Another stud defender at 8 mil min that leaves 4 mil in extra cap room to sign better fill out players…like what about our own draft picks? If they turn out now we need 5 mil for each our wingers based on pay structure….all I know is I’m always a realist

   In my business/investing/personal life etc and I’ve made out well when seeing what’s happening and believing my eyes and ignoring my wishes and desires when I don’t well…it’s always been a costly lesson…

   Anyways long ass story they’re never winning shit unless this core

   Mitch turns into Brad Marchand in the playoffs

   Mathews in NM

   And Willy plays shoulder down drive the net Willy at least 70% of the time and increase defensive pressure by 30% to bring him to 50% defensive efficiency

   Don’t feel bad Nick….Doofas is a complete moron and has elevated to his level of incompetency! He has absolutely no inkling of what it takes to win. He’s Pittsburgh’s problem now. Due to his salary structure it is now a shame they couldn’t keep Schenn and Acciari.😢

   Let Willy play out the year….revisit after playoffs ….a deal doesn't NEED to be inked this offseason….. It's a common element that folks assume players NEED to be signed a year in advance…. If we lose out In the Playoffs he will be gone anyway, and his cap room can be used for new adds

   Marner is overpaid by $3 Million on his current contract & likely is looking for a raise to keep pace with Matthews within the Leafs scheme of overpaying their core 4. Marner’s playoff performance drops 27% and he only produced 3 points in the 5 most important playoff games (round 2) of his career. So Bruins fans love seeing this overpaid for playoffs Leafs core 4. We want Florida!😊

    Toronto is still stuck with the 3 Floaters in Mathews, Marner and Nylander
    They are the Reason the Rest of the Team have to work to hard Covering for those Floaters just looking for a Pass to intercept and Not covering Their Positions.
    There is NO SUCH THING as a CORE 4 in Hockey unless Your talking about Who the Management want to have a Beer With,
    Core 4 was Invented to Cover Up what the Management do Wrong.
    Show Me a Hockey Rink and Point to the Core 4 Positions for Me , You can't cuz there is NO SUCH THING.

    CORE 4 IS AN EUPHEMISM FOR EXTREMELY BAD MANAGEMENT.
    I don't know how to Coach Properly so I invent Senseless Adjectives and Euphemisms to Confuse the Public, how also don't know how Ice Hockey is supposed to be Played.
    If the NHL ran Baseball, Your 1st Basemen would be beside the Short Stop and The would Paint a Trapezoid around 1st base so the Pitcher can't go into the Trapezoid.
    That is what Your CORE 4 Pushers are doing to Ice Hockey.
