Is Marchessault the front-runner for the Conn Smythe?

This is the second time in franchise history the Panthers have made the Stanley Cup Final and they have yet to win a game, six games six losses. That’s Hockey discusses what the Golden Knights have done differently to contain Florida and if Jonathan Marchessault should be the favourite to win the Conn Smythe.

  1. Vegas has the highest odds for their goalie, Bobrovsky on Florida and Eichel winning the Conn Smythe.

  2. Marchy would be pretty awesome and definitely deserved, heart and soul of the team, when heā€™s on the whole team plays on a different level. Had his jersey since year one, canā€™t wait to add the cup final patch to it

  3. Shoutout Panthers for leaving Marchessault exposed in the Vegas expansion draft after he scored 30 goals for them. Great call.

  4. If Vegas wins I was thinking Adin Hill tbh. Dude is an absolute brick wall and is straight up punching people too.

  5. This is such a tough call. If Vegas goes all the way, then Eichel, Marchy, and Hill all deserve it.
Each player even has their own narrative beyond their excellent play, which makes it that much harder to choose:
    – Jack Eichel deserves it in that it's his first time in the playoffs after coming to a team that allowed him to have a life- and career-altering surgery.
    – Adin Hill deserves it because he came in in relief of Brossoit, who himself was a backup, and has played incredibly ever since, including making some highlight-reel saves.
    – Jonathan Marchessault deserves it because he made his way into the league the hard way, is an original Golden Misfit, and in addition to being our top scorer this post-season, he is also a true leader on this team.
