What a moment. Congrats on a great career Bickell.
Also, let's stop shitting on Flyers fans. They gave him a standing ovation during the game. I know this doesn't fit the narrative of what everyone likes to think because of something that happened years ago, whatever that might be, but that's not what it was tonight.
Going out on a bang. Props to bicks and Peters for giving him first shot. Also nice to see a standing ovation from an away crowdđ. LETS GO CANESđ
He has always been one of my favorite players. He has a certain style that I admire in a player; a great attitude, incredible talent, a smile that is so contagious. I was so happy to be at this game.
Many best wishes  to Bryan Bickell  from myself here  in the UK as I have fought MS for 45 years here NO MS meds ever to slow it down also  and still alive and kicking .
In June of 2016, the Chicago Blackhawks wanted to get rid of Brian Bickell's contract to free up cap space. The Hurricanes said donât worry about that, weâll take that contract off your hands, but weâre going to need some payment in exchange for taking it on. We need a good young forward, and then weâll send you a second and a third for that guy and Bickell. Sound good? The Blackhawks said yes. Soon after, Brian Bickell would start to have some injury trouble that would eventually be diagnosed as Multiple Sclerosis. In 2017, he played his last NHL game against the Flyers and he was selected to shoot for the Carolina Hurricanes. If possible, find the clip of that shot (hah, you already have), because the *ping* that puck made as it went post and in is just beautiful. An amazing story that the Hurricanes got for basically nothing. The two draft picks havenât really panned out and it doesnât look like they will anytime soon. By the way, that good young forward that got thrown in with Bickell? Some Finnish guy named Teuvo Teravainen.
