Anyone that thinks that was a 7 game suspension hit…..had better go watch golf, or curling or tennis…that wasn't even a 2 minute penalty hit…theses guys are hockey players ,making millions..and when they get hit hard they drop like a sack of bricks..that suspension was a disgrace..and I'm not even a washington fan..and if things keep happening like this..repeat offender or not..I won't even be a hockey fan anymore.

It was a nasty hit and let’s be honest he had been looking for a fight for a while in that game and never got one so he went for a hard borderline dirty hit.

Boarding. A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player who checks or pushes a defenseless opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to hit or impact the boards violently or dangerously. Maybe Tom's 7 game suspension is due to the other player being "defenseless"…
Ovi is getting old now. He doesn’t have any patience for the things he doesn’t agree with. Once you hit a certain age your give a f*** goes out the window. Just look at the man’s hair. It’s not salt and pepper anymore it’s just salt.
I'm not a fan of just bc someone being hurt it should be suspended. Like when Lucic punched that guy i forget what team. Just bc lucic punches harder than most he gets suspended.

It is a joke. 7 games for a repeat offender that was purposely looking to hurt someone. It should have been an end to his regular season if you have any desire to minimize/eliminate this BS from the game. 5th offense is not 7 games. It is an insult to the game.
Boarding is when you check a guy violently "in to" the boards, if the player is already against the boards, then how can you board them. That is the point Seravalli was trying to make. There is no argument that it was a huge check and a violent collision, the argument is by league standards, Wilson didn't actually break a rule, thus how can you suspend him?
It was a clean hit, but it's cool to see that all of you let your bias speak for you. Done with this channel now.

He acts like Wilson is such a bad guy and sooo superior, but he clearly didn't see the guys stick go right into Wilson's face before the hit.
