  1. Hopefully not, he doesn't fit the penguins style, and poj ain't worth it, and hextal fuked that team!

  2. He's not inheriting the 2017 Maple Leafs either. So much promise flushed down the drain. Look what he did with a team full of young stars imagine the damage he's going to do to an aging team that's up against the cap with no assets.

  3. Karlsson just what a team with more goals against than for needs. The guy had 101 points and was on the ice for 127 goals against. Lol
Bobby or on his 100+ seasons was +80 to + 124. Coffey less defensive was plus 50 – +61.
If Pens plan on making EK a winger great. Lol you can't outscore your mistakes in the playoffs just asks McDavid and Draisaitl and they've both been plus players for the last 3 years

  4. Point that you guys made that isn't 100% true. Yes the Sharks retained on Foligno but that was Doug Wilson not Mike Grier so that might not be considered in that.

  5. This is so Dubas. His love for overpaid players is what screws the teams from getting a competitive roster

  6. LOL, getting Karlsson to the Pens is brilliant! Make an already old team even older. Screw youth and speed, just bring on all the old timers for one more swing at Lord Stanley's cup.

  7. Best case scenario imo is Jeff Carter realizes he isn’t gonna play this season & waives his NMC for specific teams & then we find a way to get rid of Granlund without giving anything substantial up. That’d free up 8M & would allow Dubas to go out & get a legit 3C who can handle his own line while allowing Eller to play 4C where he’s best suited at this point in his career. I know he’s older & his game has slowed down but I think if you put Jonathan Toews in a diminished role behind Crosby & Malkin with linemates like Rust & Acciari he’d flourish it’s not like he didn’t put up 31 points in 53 games last year….. You get him on a 1yr 3M deal & then figure out your defense situation with the other 5M & the roster immediately looks way better

  8. Penguins getting Karlsson will be worse than San Jose getting him when those vets all dipped… maybe dubas was highly over rated because of his Nice guy attitude😂

  9. They did Graves cause they want Karlsson therefore you hsve solid dfd with both ketang and Karlsson which thoes 2 will be out for 75% or 80% of the time,
    Graves Letang
    Petterson Karlsson
    Poj Rutta
Prob the best d core on paper

  10. Pens fan here. We need defensive defense, not another Letang. Especially now that we're stuck with Jarry in net.

  11. Is it against the cba to have another team chi/yotes sign a free agent you want, have them retain half and trade for player you wanted to sign for -50%? Seems like a win/win way to circumvent brutal salary cap.

  12. Dubas is not interested in Dumba.
Matt Grzelcyk of the cash strapped Bruins is his back up plan to Karlsson.

  13. It's still amazing to me the number of people who think the Penguins should just give up. Winning another Cup with an aging Crosby and Malkin is a long shot, sure. Hextall didn't help things by bungling a season where they both played every game. But as long as they're playing well, you've got to at least try. Saying they have no chance, and should just tank and rebuild is a loser's mentality.

  14. No offense but wth does Pens have to give up for a elite offensive dman? I dont see no prospects, lineup is thin and old. Picks? It would have to be at least 3 first rounders plus with money held back from SJ side.

  15. Acquiring Karlsson makes sense for the Pens, because their window to compete is maybe 2yrs. They don't have a choice but to go all-in. Ask SJS to take Jeff Carter, Jeff Petry, a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder, then ask the Sharks to eat $2-3mil of salary out of the $11mil…
