A LOT to be excited about here ! First and foremost – thanks awood. Outstanding compellation again. Thanks for showing the entirety of that incredible sequence in the third where they kept Chicago bottled up and looked really good. A few thoughts …
Griess played very well. Thought he may have over-committed on the first goal, but rock solid after that.
Zadina – can't wait for another year under his belt. I think he has exceptional hands and instinct and a great work ethic.
Mark Stall was very good. Solid defender tonight. Enjoyed seeing Vrana tonight in Red. I liked the trade for both players.
Finally, in case there's a single Red Wings fan out there who hasn't seen it, take a moment to watch the YouTube video Moritz Seider Hits the SHL. I do not think I've ever seen a collection of hits where the guy trying to hit the defenseman gets leveled so frequently. It's almost like he brushes them off. And these are men he's playing against. Can't wait to see him full time in Detroit.

The team looks so very different after mo has left.
Plays with so much speed, before that it seems like they couldnt keep up and were always one step behind.
At 7.00 they spent almost a full minute in the O zone. Dont remember that ever happening this season.
Hope the team can climb a few more places before the end of the season.

There is nothing more draining to team morale than to have a bunch of guys working their ass off only to have one floater floating around looking for a cherry. Mantha was just about invisible 60-70% of the time.

this was the most fun i had watching the wings in literal years. High hopes for the future!
Just some perspective for you guys. Last year the Wings won 16 out of 71 games. Last night we won our 16th game and we have played 45, and we won 3 in a row. If you don't think that's improvement than move along. Also Mantha is gone. It's not Blashill's fault. It's Mantha's fault. If he didn't want to play hard when he was with the Wings than good riddance. Get over it. This is part of rebuilding a team. Blashill is probably done after this season.

Best 3rd period protecting a lead that I can remember seeing in a long time. Tons of positives in this game. Stecher has been real good on D and what fun to see him pot a couple goals, and that assist from DDK was fantastic. Welcome Vrana, hope he keeps up in the scoring race with Mantha. And a deserved win for Greiss. Great job boys. LGRW

How cool would it be to have the Redwings as the only team to NOT have a corporate logo on their jersey!?
I think it's doable. What needs to happen is that the fan base needs to firmly and unequivocally make it known that they will boycott any company that puts their visible logo on the jersey. However, we will support, with wild abandon, any company that buys the space but elects to keep it blank.
If we get the message out, we could influence opinion and keep the jersey clean. The positive PR for whatever company pays to keep the jersey clean would far outweigh what they would get with a crappy patch. And we would show the NHL why the wings are, once again, the class of the NHL.
Idealistic? Yes. Doable? Yes!!!
Let's make this happen!!
