I played through college and coached Bantam & Squirt into my 30s. Parents have been the problem even back in the 80s, acting worse than any kid I'd ever met. Why do people need to live their lives vicariously through their children, and kill all the FUN of playing a sport with the pressure to succeed and dominate at every level? Empty lives, stealing childhood away from their kids.
Parents of youth sports need to chill. Little Johnny isn’t being scouted at 6 years old. Just relax and let the kid enjoy the game. All the kids will remember is how embarrassing you are screaming at a 14 year old official
hockey parents dont make their living coaching hockey, and dont know the balance between healthy player support and high team enthusiasm, like say Ol' Grey Beard up there.
I said this before on the annoying hockey mom's challenge, I'm dead serious that a hockey mom actually saved my life once and she's forever my guardian angel!! ❤

There was guy a couple years older than me who’s mother would climb on the glass and yell at the refs.
The best moment was when a guy on my team beat the shit out of him. She was on the glass yelling at the refs to “get him off my kid”
