I am a JD fan. Always have been. Glad he was able to get the Jones burden out the door. A lot of questionable thinking going on in the league this month. From Columbus' standpoint this was not one of those.
I agree that Seth Jones was overpaid. BUT….defensemen that are big, can skate, eat a ton of minutes and also produce offense are a rarity in the NHL. And the Hawks also likely had to sweeten the deal so Jones didn’t bolt for UFA

not sure whats worse, Stan Bowman or Danny Wirtz. Hawks fans, prepare to suffer again as you did from 1997 – 2007
hawks gave up boqvist, who i like and will miss as a swede myself. however, boqvist does have a history of concussions at a very young age, which is a concern. he had more then one before he was drafted by hawks, and had another one last year. not to mention other injuries which caused him to miss time. i dont know if its bad luck or he doesn't train as hard as he should. he is the not the biggest guy in the world, so that has to be taken into consideration. and the hawks still have mitchell, regula, kalynuk, beaudin, stillman, and c.jones at the nhl level. add in vlassic, kaiser, phillips, and more that are on their way. giving up boqvist hurts, but he was the only prospect/player the hawks lost. the depth of the hawks prospect pool on defense allowed the hawks the luxury of dealing from a position of strength. opposed to losing a forward like the cat, dach, reichel, bagel, or kurashev, where the hawks forward pool is a lot thinner.
We were lucky enough to be alive to see the three cups. When you remember the core you realize it will never be like that again.
Now we just need the Tkachuk Brothers in St. Louis then we can have a family reunion with the Jones’

obviously bowman’s trying to speed through a rebuild to save his job, to make toews happy and to try to keep kane from sniffing around the league for a new team. hope it works, but i don’t see it
As a Blackhawks fan Good riddance Adam was a complete bust hes supposed to be an offensive defense man who plays little offense and is complete liability in the defense was on getting rid of him around erase the mistake by drafting him in the 1st place
