  1. Nice to see you breakdown the assets. Every1 saying they got flecced by Yzerman
when they got a middle 6 winger who regularly scores 20 goals, a 1st, a 4th, and a meh Def prospect

  2. If you want to call someone the winner of the trade its the Wings because they got the best player but at the same time the Sens werent losers. All things considered, the return is fine.

And DeBrincat's contract that he signed with the Wings is market value, its not even close to a steal. DeBrincat is not worth $9 million even as a 40 goal scorer, he is not a play driver and is undersized. Thank you to the Wings for taking him, the Sens can have 3 Kubaliks for the price of the Cat and the team will be better for it.

  3. A lot of people keep saying sens paid more than they got for him, Myself I think they got basically what they paid. The first will slip from 7th to a mid or late but based on odds kubalik is better then the 2nd, the dman is what a 3rd most likely ends up a ahler, and sens get a 4th on top.

  4. It's not even necessarily an L for Dorion. He didn't have much of a choice but to make this deal. They've freed up a bunch of cap space, got a 25 goal scorer in his prime in Kubalik and a 1st. Under the circumstances, it's not that bad.

  5. I remember when people said the Blackhawks completely lost the initial trade with Ottawa. 🤣💀 yeah, I bet they're all quite now lmfaooo.

  6. I wonder if Zadina had been a little more patient, perhaps he would have been included in the trade and thus not have his contract voided.

  7. Honestly, as a big sens fan, I’m okay with this return. Especially considering the fact he didn’t want to be here. When I seen the reports of us getting zadina and 17th overall I was honestly not expecting much more based on the situation Ottawa was In.

  8. I just wanted Kubalik and a 1st so im happy ADB needs to bounce back for this to be a Wings win since Kubalik had the same amount of even strength goals as ADB last season on a worse team I expect to ADB to bounce back but Kubalik is still a good player plus we got other assets

  9. The big loser here is DeBrincat. He got less money than he wanted, half the term he was demanding, and a trip to a lesser team that will need him to be much much better than he was last year. Does no one remember that getting him was the win of the century last summer too? He has himself to blame 3)by saying he wanted out, 2) by letting everyone know he only wanted Detroit and 1) Being such a disappointment in Ottawa (5th on the team in goals, 5th in points, minus 31, and being not much of an impact player.

  10. Just for reference: Kubalik goals – 9 goals in first 18 games; then 3 in Dec; 2 in Jan; 3 in Feb; 3 in Mar; 0 in April. If you watched Wings games, towards the end of the season (before trade deadline) he was a negative presence on the ice. When younger talent was available, seeing Kubalik on the first line was a big let down.

  11. Sens got what they have been saying they wanted all along. 1st and a proven roster player who can get 20-25 goals, and filler. Sens didn’t give up any roster players for DeBrincat, only picks in a bad draft year. I wouldn’t be surprised if DeBrincat doesn’t even get 27 on the Wings.
