Player from Detroit, whose family lives in detriot, who wanted to live there full time and took a discount to go there. He was only ever going to Detroit

What’s the article saying? Can’t access it. Thx

The article says that our trade package included Wahlstrom and Pageau, but doesn’t mention what else was involved, though it’s safe to assume the 2024 first was in play, and DeBrincat was willing to sign here

What they got from det isn’t exactly world shaking. The contract wasn’t even as outrageous as what was reported you’d think they could get more

Why would ottawa want Pageau? They are rebuilding and have young players. Because he used to play there? That’s the only argument I can come up with. He doesn’t score and makes too much. When you trade your picks away and dont develop any prospects, this is what happens folks.

    We get:
    Debrincat

    They get:
    Pageau,
2 vouchers for free drinks on the Heineken Terrace,
20% off an Isles Lab order

Seems like a decent deal to me

Sens fan coming in peace. I think we all see now that debrincat wasn’t signing an extension anywhere except Detroit. I don’t see this as a slight against islanders proposal, I’d like wahlstrom but not so much pageau’s $$. Whatever the icing was in terms of another prospect or pick, I’d say you guys were close with Detroits package.

So basically, he went Tavares on them (the Sens). FEKK this guy.
