God imagine if the NHL caught on in Japan. Would be massive for the sport.

Loved him as a depth piece in Abby, and he almost single-handedly carried Team Japan to win promotion at the IIHF this year.
He requested a LOA from his AHL contract two years ago during playoffs to return home and help build up hockey in Japan. Dudes a legend!!

Looking like Sid back there. Slick fake, too.

If he can eventually do that against nhl level players, he would be one of the most fun players to watch based on this clip. Obviously he’s not Datsyuk, but the way he deceptively skates and just straight juked those guys with body movement with out really even having to dangle at all and then with the creative move at the end, it did look like some shit that Datsyuk would’ve done, except Dats did it against the best in the world.
