Joe Cole gets revenge on Roy Keane

I love when small stories develop within a game. I’m not sure why, but Keane decides to argue with Joe Cole, who in turn gets the better of Keane in a duel later on in the game.
Given the freedom and the chance to be a protagonist, Joe Cole at West Ham was a joy to watch!
Manchester United vs West Ham 2001/2002.

  1. Great player for chels Jose brought him back to soon after injury…. England's best player in Germany…

  2. Useless. Saw him at Anfield with Di Canio two or three times. Fancy Dan. All backheels and flicks but never went anywhere with it. Powder-puff footballer.

  3. Joe Cole was absolutely amazing. He was gifted and could dribble just as good as any Brazilian!

I wish he'd never been injured and had started a training school. Imagine the talent.

  4. The real Joe Cole. What a player! Then he became a modern day footballer, a right footed Attacking midfielder converted to left winger by Jose to accomodate him because Lampard played in his position.

He did win lots of trophies and even had a long international career with England. Still showed the flair at times but if he had played in his natural position, would have surely been a once in a generation talent for England!

  5. Joe Cole at Man Utd under Ferguson would’ve been great to see. Jermaine Defoe as well, both linked strongly while they were at West Ham

  6. Joe Cole was incredible for about 7 years then drifted away. Should of been England's Zidane.

  7. Thing about joe was he was technically brilliant and showed tricks that entertained fan's and for the most part he was a great player.but his ideology that he was trying to become an out an out centre mid was far fetched. He was always an attacking midfielder no.10 if you will who could be used as a left or right midfielder wich englamd done with him alot and the odd time at club level also was too central to be a winger and lacked elite pace and prob was not really physical or big enough he wanst a tackler but bar that he absolutely had everything else pitty his career went abit after leaving chelsea he was never the same again.
