Once the independent investigation /law firm firmly established the scope, nature, and widespread knowledge of this hazing, the writing was on the wall for Pat Fitzgerald. Northwestern University has a very low threshold for this abusive nonsense.

If other coaches are thinking that, all they need to do is ensure their older players aren't sexually assaulting the new players. Doesn't exactly seem too hard. The idea this is "sending a shock" through college coaches is sad if true. This is a baseline standard of being a coach. Don't tolerate or ignore this crap.

The hazing included forced participation, nudity and sexualized acts of a degrading nature, in clear violation of Northwestern policies and values. I am grateful that — to my knowledge — no student suffered physical injury as a result of these behaviors
Toxic program, student athletes and coaches preying on lower classmen. Some ended up with PTSD as a result of this. Sickening!
