Why are all these hack beat reporters writing bullshit articles taking any blame away from Lou. I understand he threatens them w revoking credentials … but if you have to write fluff pieces, just hand in your resignations and go work for the organization.
NO , no, and Nope. Isles remain stagnant, slow and old. Rest of east pack are getting better. This is a year by year nhl today. Those that sit idly by will get left behind-lou. This team is on a trajectory v DOWN v. And i don't care about the made for playoffs roster lou thinks he can win with. That means nothing now. As cane series proved Lane is a bum and isles are barely a playoff team who will get passed by this season. And the trotz magic is long gone now. I wish for a bottoming out. To see the great lou go out on a loser note. And another franchise ruined and run into the ground. Too bad it had to be isles. And the only trade, the only one that can be made, will be trading '24 first at tdl-if isles haven't bottomed out yet-for more bottom six help. You can count on that.

Hi Gil Love talking hockey in July. Lou's philosophy build from the Golie out always has been. So goaltending we have the best in our division. Defense should be solid. Centers NO ONE has the depth we have.Scoring is the obvious question. If Horvat can score over 35, Barzal over 30 but he IS NOT a GOAL SCORER . He is a PLAYMAKER. Wohlstrom is a KEY COMPONENT. Nelson should do 30+ Palmeri, Pageau, e, in the 20's and Engval, maybe Fasching scores 15. WE NEED SOMEBODY TO STEP UP!!! Maggio, Dobson, Dufour ???? Who knows Thanks Gil

I know Wahlstrom was injured last year, but he's shown nothing when given a chance. Why would any team want him?
Gil I agree Dumba would give us a solid defenseman and an excellent physical presence which Lou loves. God do I wish we had Toews back he would fit perfectly. Health has to be the #1 factor for this team, that stated I would imagine young players grow in physical strength and game awareness each season, it seems to me the way they are Coached and trained (practice) will make a huge difference in TEAM chemistry as we have seen many times……A well Coached, re energized group playing as a unit, can be a tough team to beat!………..Can this Coach come back with a game plan to fit this personal?…………..The Shadow knows!…Go Islanders!!!
Y! sports so-expert ranks isles system no. 28. It never got lower than 15 under snow. Milbury had top system late 90's. Another lou failure. I wonder what failures/third liners lou would have drafted had he kept those four firsts and handful of seconds/thirds he peddled away? Already got one bum out of first in holmstrom.
If we cant add to this team, then the very least Lou could do is fire the power-play coaches. If we can improve the PP, with the addition of healthy Barzy, Bo and Wally….we should be improved
