  1. going to be an exciting season. and many to come. a tighter race than tampa, boston, ottawa, and buffalo are expecting i hope.

  2. Man… no one I know thought we were getting Parise or Suter. The best comparison for the hype to this trade I can think of is the build-up to acquiring Shanahan.

  3. I love how everyone is getting so excited about a 30 goal scorer. Hahahaha omg he’s a second line guy on a good team. Just stop it

  4. I'm so glad we got a premier player on our team. And Stevie Y in the front office calling the shots! Let's go boys, Stanley Cup within 3 years!!

  5. Spot on! I watched Perron keep the power play alive all season. Before he arrived, most of the pucks he keeps in the o-zone were always a turnover. He is definitely an underrated addition to the PP!

  6. This would be a playoff team….IF we were in the western conference. We are in the filthiest division in hockey.

  7. Lets go out and get Tarasenko and punch our ticket to the post season. We got projected cap of 33M next season and a pile of guys waiting in the wings to round out our roster on the cheap. We could get him for 7×3 for sure, and have 8+ to work with.

  8. And only a couple weeks ago, armchair GMs were demanding Yzerman be fired because he didn’t trade for DeBrincat at the draft, or on the first day of free agency. What a difference waiting makes. Yzerman paid a lot less than what he would have paid had he made the trade when the armchair GMs thought he should. It’s almost as if Yzerman knows what he’s doing. Good thing the armchair GMs aren’t running this team

  9. Fun to see Ryan getting more air time on the D sports shows. Plus he has that announcing voice,
Hasek was the last guy to trade himself to Detroit. Dom stated to Buffalo not to ask too much for assets or he threatened to retire. Kozlov a 1st (turned out to be Jim Slater). Detroit won that trade but it was one sided from the start.

  10. There is a reason Ryan gets invited to all of these shows, he is the best part of the WWP. Brad is a know it all, that is consistently wrong with his takes, especially on draft picks, yet never learns. He hated Seider, loved Zadina, and the only pick of the 2019 draft he DIDN'T like was Carter Mazur… in fact I have come to find that the more he hates a pick the better that pick will be. He DETESTS both of the defensemen we took in the second round this year, so mark my words, Andrew Gibson and Brady Cleveland will be excellent choices. Ryan is cool, Evan is a bit affable but pulls out instances of wisdom from nowhere, but Brad rubs me the wrong way.

  11. Ryan, you’re cool so maybe lead the charge against saying the Dylan larkins, the Lucas Raymonds… after all we have one of each

  12. Love seeing Ryan getting some much deserved exposure!!
WWP is the best wings content out there.

  13. Ottawa got fleeced but they are going for a rebuild..almost doesn't make sense for them because Stevie also gets the choice of what draft pick to give up lol

  14. Everyone who questioned Yzermans moves lasr year . ..are the same people who wanted Brad Holmes fired ' before they jumped back om the bandwagon 😂😂

  15. Expectations I had were all introduced, improve the team like last year (free market sign) & use organization's assets for someone e.i higher valued player e.I Cat now. good job S.Y.

The challenge for RW will be to keep increase the team cohesion as the team on paper is today a Foreign Legion due to all the big changes that have been made in recent years from our GM. >As for expectations, mine is that they will play slightly better over 200ft than in previous years. Playing "meaningful games" will have a somewhat clearer appearance this year, over what can conceivably come in the near future seen from a stronger "core" where more talents have the opportunity to take roster spots this year and next. RW is not in need of introducing any new "five-year" projects ala Filip Zadina, those days are over Thanks to S.Y active actions under a few years time now.

Lukas, put a lot of focus on the team's tactics with our new coach last year. He went up and down the lineup for most of the season. What I want him to improve is to constantly move his feet and always choose the inside lane and as said in the interview, become strong on the stick and play around the goal. Team cohesion is important here, we saw mainly in his first year with Lark/Bert/Lukas. This work is up to the team coach to quickly find. Don't want to see him let e.i "MO/Ben" play around half the season before change comes, not this year. An active leadership staff is what is required today. Because with better material comes increased demands on the results of showing what "meaningful games" really are.

For Cat, my hope is that he lands in his hometown during the year and that he contributes with effort. Number of goals around 15-25 I would see as perfectly okay first year since changes can be unpredictable to predict. Lower expectations for him benefit him in the long run as we have him in his prime years to come. The fact that he himself had a slightly worse year last year is something that can be turned into a positive, as fans simply start from the latest.

Yea going to be an exciting season to watch as there is plenty of competition for roster spots today. As for our most talked about talents, as a Swede it will be extra fun to see which US/Can or finger cross "Russian" e.i Buchelnikov can conceivably come up. As for Dmitri, I really would like to see him during the camp to determine if his "indefinite" status can be updated or not. For now, RW needs to rejuvenate US/Can and get some new "dna" back into the lineup. As we approach TDL, I see some contracts being moved to make room for next year's open market. Time to start planning my schedule so I can follow the matches live as a Swede… #LGRW
