Iād like to add that clutterbuck likely never suits up again. Heās had a lot of injuries through his long career and theyāve caught up. He played 34 games this year but off the top of my head, I can name 7 different games where he went down the tunnel early and didnāt return. His body is breaking down. I love the guy and have his jersey but, for his sake, heās gotta stop. Just sit on ltir until his contract is up and announce retirement.

Shannon, I said it before and I'll say it again. Before injuries ( Pelech, Wahlstrom, and Palmieri) in a 2wk period, this team was between 2nd and 4th in the conference and pretty much the league. They were 2nd in goal differential around +20. They didn't have the depth with the injuries to maintain it. Especially when Pelech went down. I would like to see them pick up a solid veteran Dman, to cover if Pelech or Pulock goes down again. Pulock's numbers have been down cause he couldn't be as offensive because of the constant shuffling to cover Pelech being out. And it's no surprise they started this streak after Pelech came back. Now you add Horvat to this team. I really like their change to get in the playoffs. If they can finish the season the way they started this season, they will make the playoffs.
And as far as Sorokin, he stays healthy he is the front-runner for the Vezina. Ullmark is playing great but when you have a team that can't play in the O-zone and put up goals, and a top Dman out, he has kept this team in a position to still make the playoffs.
Romanov has been playing. Last night he missed because of personal reasons.
As a isles fan they are still
Missing something and I still think they should try moving parise, mayfield, and varly. I would reup Baily and I might try moving whalstrom. I feel some of these guys could get uncle Lou some draft picks which we need! I donāt think he makes anymore moves. I think if they miss the playoffs though I would dump lambert which is not a good coach! I would also dump Lou for not doing anything this off season!

Next year I like Palms on the top line and Bailey on the second. Bailey has outlived his usefulness though I could see keeping Parise around

Semyon Varlamov will not be an Islander next season. It's not that I don't want him (Islanders fan here), it's he will be an expensive backup. Varlamov can be a starter for many other teams so why would he take a pay cut? Lots of rumbling from my Islanders friends to get rid of Josh Bailey. True, he is the most tenured Islander right now and some would say popular as the song is, "Hey Josh Bailey…will you score a goal." Bailey hasn't been making good decisions (quick decisions) and he is currently on the first line.

In a good position to make playoffs..coming from a place of can do this ..recent postseason success..better than playing from desperation or playoff droughts issues other teams chasing wildcard spots have.

Isles still need another scorer to truly contend. Can't ask Sorokin to shut everyone out – even if he is capable.
I have Sorokin in my hockey pool and he is helping me win week after week in the goalie stats. I guy is great and definitely either the best or top 3 goalies this year.

Horvat is perfect islanders player wont get anymore than 50points max per season rest of hes career š no one in that roster scores exept barzal who probs wants out more than anything
Iām biased as an Isles fan but I know a lot of Rangers, Pens, and Bruins fans that arenāt thrilled the Isles are playing well recently because theyāre a very tough out in the playoffs
This team will end up upsetting the Bruins in round 1.

I'm not sure if this will be enough to get the Islanders into the playoffs, but it does improves their team and players like Horvat are rarely available at his age. After years of his offence stifled by having to take everyone else's faceoffs and less than the best linemates, he looks great playing with Barzal. I love the way the New York have taken to Bo. Listening to the fans in that arena is like being at a World Cup soccer match. It feels good knowing that he's gone to a good home.
Shanny, can you make one of these for the Rangers after getting Tarasenko?
