I like Frost a lot, maybe he gets a shot at 1C but I just don’t see him doing well there against top lines off the bat. I think he might struggle with confidence in that situation like he seems to have before. I think Cates gets the option even though he isn’t a top tier center by any means, I think he will handle the challenge a little better. Frost needs more success in a more sheltered 2C role assuming Coots isn’t ready to go.

    Great.

Now move TDA. I’m tired of fucking waiting for this. What’s the holdup ffs?

That certainly is a list of 7 defensemen

Everything I have read and understand indicates that Coots is playing this upcoming season. Why is this writer counting on him not playing??

I understand there are injury concerns, but the team and player seem to think he’s playing.

I’m seeing a lot of people talk about having guys like Brink as the 13th forward, and I don’t get it. You want young guys who you ideally want to continue developing barely playing? I’d rather leave Brink in Lehigh and let him play heavy minutes there rather then just be scratched most games.

That said, I think people should expect at least one of Coots/Atkinson back, even if they might not be as good as they once were. So one of Foerster/Desnoyers/Allison goes (And I’d bet money on Allison going first)
