LFG! Debrincat wanted to play here, this is the turning point. Now the Yzerplan is in full effect and we will take that next step, and after getting our Hockeytown credibility back, players will want to be here. Things are looking up despite Mr. Yzerman getting screwed every draft since he came back home.

Didn't give up a top prospect in the package for a 40 goal guy, paid less than Ottawa did in picks, DeBrincat wants to be a Red Wing, the cap goes up and in 4 years DeBrincat gets even more paid… it's a very mutually beneficial situation here, can't wait to see the hometown kids tear it up on that top line in the fall!
The Red Wings are better. They probably took a year or two off from their rebuild being done. The problem is that the same fans who bitched about the draft are going to lose their minds when this team probably misses the playoffs this year. I honestly think they are 1 year away still. They need their forward prospects to develop still, same with defense. DeBrincat helps speed it up. The trade was amazing because of what they gave up and the contract.
