A 19 year old coming off a major concussion didn't "Wow" you in development camp? Ya don't say?
He's a young kid coming off a serious injury. He was lighting it up before he got concussed. Haggs is the Greg Bedard of Bruins media. All doom and gloom, all the time.
Lysell is not there mentally and the concussion really affected him.
Sad to say but he's a bust for a first rounder.
They’ve been overhyping this kid along with all their other “top” prospects
Obviously you had a concussion a month ago hope you haven't had two or three during your young years they know you will not hit the Boston bench this September sorry kid it's about the dollar
I was impressed watching the recent interviews with Lysell. He seemed to have a very mature attitude about how last year went in that he got out of the gate strong and kind of fizzled halfway through the season. Lysell seemed to understand the issues with last season. He said that a major part of it was that he didn't know how to wind down after games and that made him lose energy over the season.
Hockey people seem to think he has the skill. Now he's learning how to deal with the professional game and mental part of it. If he can improve with the mental part and get stronger physically that bodes well for the future. For people thinking he can make the team at the start of the season, unfortunately that's probably not going to happen.
You need a story and this is it.

The only way Lysell is going to survive ANY time in Boston is to have someone like Looch ride along with him. Lysell is suffering from what Pastrnak went through, first couple seasons. Maybe more so. He needs to put on 10-20 lbs of muscle, bust his butt to get stronger and therefore less likely to be injured…less likely to "burn out" halfway through the season. If he puts in the work, who knows how good he might be. If he doesn't, he'll be just another talent that never amounted to anything. It's up to him.
