Some one tell me how to feel!
Firstov, let me start by saying that some playing time in the KHL would benefit him like others said.
Had a really good season last year. Outscored some pretty notable names at the same age – Panarin, Marchenko, Tolvanen, Barabanov.
No clue on the details of what really went down with Iowa, but def a prospect I hope they can bring back over eventually.
On one hand, I could see him coming back to the US at age 23/24 as a seasoned and NHL top-6 ready player, similar to Kaprizov.
On the other, which I have a more firm belief in at this point, I don’t think he is coming back. He will be a KHL player for the rest of his career.
Pro ice time seems to be the trick for Russians vs Iowa if our experience speaks anything
