    Nylander singed first the last time and then watched the other 2 get 4-5 million more /year. No chance Nylander signs for 8.5 and then watch the other 2 get 5 million more again.

    No one is going to help the Leafs out.
    Right now other teams know if they wait out next year the Leafs will be in cap trouble by signing both Nylander and Matthews with the additional issue of Marner coming up. (He will want only a few dollars less than Matthew). Or Nylander will not be signed and available to any team willing to pay him for free.
    I don't see Nylander signing for less than he wants when the contracts on the Leafs dictates he should get north of 10. If he has to sign for less he will go to another team next year for the "market: value.
    Nylander is a rental for the Leafs.

    a 1 for 1 for Shane wright is a good deal. 1. You are comparing apples to oranges. 2. Wright has so many RFA years (Cap control) and Nylander has none. Nylander's salary goes up after next season so the Leafs save cap. This is not a 1 for 1 deal …this is a partial salary dump so the Leafs can try to sign Matthews. Leafs don't want to take salary bak and there are only a few teams that can afford Nylander's salary. I also think it's WAYYYY to early to suggest that Wright will not be a top 3 centre.

    this should be very telling about the divide in the leafs locker room, there is a video , where leaf players are interviewed , they were asked who is late for meetings , practice, the bus, basically in general the same name came up nylander , willy was last to be asked this question, with great big smile on his face he proudly said he was, look up the video its very telling

    Seattle wouldn’t want a part time player. If you saw them in the playoffs, Nylander doesn’t fit a team that’s constantly moving and checking.

    Mathews I’ve said before I’ll say it AGAIN,,, 75 millions/5 years,,, if that’s the case the TO salary will be completely off,,, cause you’ll have to trade Nylander and Marner will want that 12.5

    Nylander should be making 11. Unfortunately, Marner set the price and we cannot have 3 11, players. I would love to keep Nylander over Marner if that was possible.
