🎉Stevie-Y is the man! And stayed true to what he wanted and was REWARDED!.. Debrincat will definitely help the Red Wings in multiple offensive categories!.. Stevie has now made over 44% of just the STARTING roster! And 90% of the roster since the start of 2 SEASONS AGO!!.. THAT'S CRAAAZZYY WHEN YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT!
Every line has at LEAST one new toy/ player to play with didn't have before😁
ALL players improvements from the previous Red Wings on the team and more importantly the players added gives coach Lalonde more versatility!.. and that's good In today's NHL..
Stevie-Y is really trying to build a similar roster structure to teams like, the Golden Knights, Kraken, Hurricanes, and Devils.. a bunch of good talented guys with speed high hockey IQ, that can score while staying responsible defensively!.. and the Wings are deep!.. we should be able to confidently roll 4-LINES making it even harder to beat them..
And lastly, if the Wings get into the playoffs, they're already low-key "playoff built"😉

Fyi, Kubalik played mostly on the 3rd line in Det.
Yzerman robbing other GMs yet again. If I were a GM of any other team I would have Steve Yzerman permanently screened to make sure I didn't get taken for a ride.
Red wings won the trade. Plain and simple.
Lets not forget the Sens get Norris back this year. His 40 goals will replace Debrincant and Kubalik should make their 3rd line a little better. Only time will tell with this trade once the prospect develops and lets see what comes out of the draft. Ottawa does have a history of drafting pretty well. If Debrincat didn't want to be in Ottawa it makes sense to not have him in the locker room. Good on Dorian for getting something.
As a redwings fan, it feels like Christmas in July!
Roll back 1 year and the Sens fans were super excited, declaring the "Sumner of Pierre" when they got Debrincat for a similar package.. sadly he didn't really work out, he was invisible on the nights the sens needed him in 1 goal games, most of his goals came when the sens were already ahead by a few goals.. hopefully getting top line minutes and being in a city he actually wants to play in helps his production going forward

A good player but with the amount of money Detroit has spent I could see them losing a top six because of this move.
Ottawa will be laughing all the way to the bank.Norris is either coming back or could be moved for a power left wing.Pinto is as good as Norris and way cheaper like 3 million a season.
Sens won't have any problem scoring goals, they need Korpi and Forsberg healthy and giving them decent goaltending if they do the Sens are making the playoffs.
Let's be honest, Ottawa isn't 5 years ahead of Detroit.
Ottawa being 5 years ahead in the rebuild is an absolute joke and probably the worst take i have heard in a while. Look at last year as an example almost all analysts have Buffalo Ottawa and Detroit pretty much neck and neck. That any of the 3 could sneak into playoffs. I really don’t think any of them are crazy better than the other.
