Sign Schenn, trade Brodie, sign Mayfield. Mayfield should be around 4.5M is a big physical guy so him and Schenn on RD would be playoff style d-men. Brodie isn't physical, can't clear the net and doesn't put up any points.

Schenn is a tried and true playoff cup winning D man. He was solid for us. He’s worth $2M minimum. Sign him or watch Tampa or Edmonton snag him for a few dollars more
I think they should give Schenn the money they are saving from Holl's contract and give him 3 years. Possibly pick up another $4m d-man but still hang on to Conor Timmins to cover injuries. Hanifin would be too expensive, I would think $5-6 million

I loved the deal that brought Schenn back to the leafs, but honestly I thought he was coming in to play 3rd pair minutes at best, maybe even an extra. I did NOT know that he would play as good as he did. Him and Reilly were by far the best pairing. His style of play allows Reilly to do his thing and be creative and jump up in the offense. The guy can fight too. Give him 3 years NO LESS than 2-2.5 per.

Justin Holl was paid 2 million dollars…..why Dubas? Yet people complain Luke Schenn should not get 2 million dollars, for which Schenn is the opposite player from Holl with defensive style and what he was paid. Luke Schenn is a versatile player and look at when he was paired with Hughes in Vancouver how much the fans and the team wanted to resign him, the same sentiment are also in Toronto.
Schenn 3 years at 2.25m. He does as much as Muzzin did at 5+. Pay the guy ffs.
