anyone else wondering why Minnesota brought in another defenseman? Are they trading another defenseman? Is it a move to develop competition for a spot or are they going after a center? I only have questions, no answers.
Go Team Canada! It was lopsided, but it wasn't supposed to be. Canada played really great! We have a lot of really good depth players, like Rattray and Fillier in addition to all the known stars. It's a really good line-up. What's even more impressive is that we beat USA without Poulin, our best player. We just completely shut down Coyne, Knight and Decker – didn't even know they were on the ice most of the time. It's just really impressive because those 3 USA players are in the top 4 players in the world.
Tkachuk should sign for a little less hopefully, love the guy but gotta save some money for everyone else. 7 to 7.25 would be great.
Minnesota should trade Kaprizov's right to Buffalo for Eichel.

This is the best new Eichel could do, this will give him a much larger power and influence in the NHL, his agent is amazing and has such a talented client list, he will now become a member of one the most Elite Hockey players in the NHL. He has signed with a winner. He is going to only get better and stronger and more powerful. He just has to stay away from twitter.
Do the Buffalo Sabres realize that they are hurting themselves in the long term amongst players with how they are handling the Eichel situation? They are telling him he can't get the surgery he wants which affects his hockey and regular life. Why would any player want to go to Buffalo?! This is an incompetent franchise that has no future. Players see what's going and will not trust this franchise. It's mind-boggling how stupid they are.

Whenever they say "journeyman" I always think of Pat Conacher. Even though he "only" played for six teams, not quite in the Jokinen, Sillinger class, the way he kept bouncing back and forth between the NHL and the minors, most guys would have given up. In the minors he played for Billings, Saskatoon, New Haven, Springfield, Tulsa, Moncton, Nova Scotia, Maine, and Utica. That's perseverance!

AFAIK they have the cap. Multiple first rounders (that will be earlier) could be very tempting to Buffalo. Buffalo gets multiple under 15 first rounders in multiple years (including theirs) and Arizona gets a face of the franchise to market to sell tickets and maybe save the team. More ticket/jersey sales (Eichel Kachina?!) equals a city more willing to take em on.

As far as salary, how does this work for his previous agent and new agent? Does he buy out his old agent? I was under the impression agents receive a percentage of the contract, not sure if itโs up front or annually.
The waiver rules are probably the most NHL rule in the entire NHL. You currently need I think 3 or 4 different tables to figure out if a player is waiver eligible. It's actually insane, and oh so very NHL.
Itโs not bizarre how it all comes back to Toronto. They just make everything about themselves
Jordie Benn is a serviceable defenseman, who isn't that quick but has enough strength to work around the boards and clear the zone. Liked him in MTL. As for Poehling, He had a great AHL season but it ended with a wrist surgery. He said he had some discomfort in it. Says it feels fine and that he'll see once he starts taking faceoffs and handling the puck/shoot.
As for Eichel, from my perspective, it's kinda ironic that Jack chooses Brisson, as when Luongo couldn't get traded, Luongo ditched Brisson. I understand, different context, different situations. Ok anyway, another great video Shannon!

Women's hockey would be way better without the annoying screaming. I tried to watch a game I can't remember who it was., Finland and Russia? Maybe? I don't know. I had to turn the channel because my ears hurt after 2 minutes from all the screaming. It might be better with fans in the stands but the screaming is too much for me. I love you content keep it up.
