Who would have thought that would be Barzels best year points wise. Injuries and having Lou as coach has really limited him unfortunately 🙁

I think only reason Fantili beats out Bedard is solely because of the team quality difference

Bedard will have more goals than any combination of two forwards taken in the draft, and probably tickle 90 points playing with Hall. He won’t have the same point totals as McDavid would have if he played every game his rookie year, but 90 is achievable.

I like Fantilli a lot, but Bedard would need to be hurt for him to outpace his scoring. It’s like people already want to pretend that Bedard isn’t generationally talented. Who have you ever seen with a better wrister, honestly?

Yeah, he’s a little short. He’s 5’10” and 185 pounds. Kane came into the league in the much more physical year of 2007 and scored 72 points to win the Calder, with a smaller frame.

Fantilli will be good, but let’s not pretend that Bedard is anything but the run away favorite. It will take an injury for Fantili to outscore Bedard.

Two cunucks players they must be the best in the league by now

70 points. Won’t beat Kane. Certainly won’t catch Steve Larmer’s 90 pt record for Hawks rookies.

If he finds himself in on a line with Johnny Hockey and Laine I think it’s totally possible, however unlikely.

    Bedard just looks that good

Only if Bedard takes a year longer to make the league

Is Bedard getting injured? If so I could see a Panarin situation where another guy shines when the main star rookie is on the shelf. Otherwise, I doubt it happens

Mark Stone was a rookie in 14??? He seems way older to me LOL
