Hoffman on Sharks fans trolling him with banner: ‘I thought it was kind of funny’



After a pair of Sharks fans trolled Mike Hoffman with a banner highlighting his very short stint after being traded to San Jose, the Panthers forward says he thought it was funny, and explains how he contacted the fans to swap a jersey for the banner.

    These interviews are kind of showing that Hoffman maybe wasn't the real issue in the locker room afterall.

    Borowiecki speaking some truth, but to be fair a lot of the NHL is doing fan content with youtube and stuff so his point is relating to fans is 100% true

    i really wish Ottawa didn't cave under the media pressure during that whole Hoffman situation. i really felt like it wasn't something that would actually get a player traded but we basically just gave him away because of rumours that still haven't even been proven.
    Hoffman's an elite goalscorer that you don't find too often, especially when you draft them in the 5h round…

    This is gonna sound crazy but I would have rather seen us keep Hoffman instead of trading for Karl. We already have a risky offensive defenseman in Burns, what we really needed was another sniper on the right side of the PP to help compliment the right handed Pavelski on the other side of the ice.

    Our offensive depth would have been nuts, our pp would have been lethal, and we would have had some extra cap room to go after a solid bottom 4 defenseman or a goalie who can actually make a save.
