If thier going to do this they should just put all the goal reviews on the channel
Leafsnet
LOL
good call ….. putting on the brakes is NOT a kicking motion .
He 100% meant to stop/kick that in…it should be considered the same thing. Still a smart play on his part though
That was so intentional
There’s no doubt that Hyman kicked it in, the Leafs got lucky with this call after having so many goals overturned from previous challenges. They haven’t been playing well defensively, Rielly always takes off for a breakout too early.
Bs
these refs suck missed high sticks and kicked goals wtf
LeafsNet
LMAO
Maple Refs
LOL he clearly kicked it….
This is tough because although there was no kicking motion, it's pretty obvious that the stopping motion was intended do direct the puck in the net. Time for the GMs to bring this topic up for an update on the NHL rule book.
Edit: It's a good goal, clever way to take advantage of the wording in the rule book.
You can use your skates to re-direct pucks in as much as they can go in from hitting body parts. As long as there's no kicking motion, this is a good goal.
What most people don't understand is that you can redirect the puck in the net as long as you don't clearly kick it which is why it's a good goal
Skate didn't come off the ice so good call by the rule….rule is kinda stupid though. Whats the difference between kicking the puck and intentionally redirecting the puck with your skate
There was no distinct kicking motion. It's a good goal. People arguing against it are just Leaf haters
So you’re not going to include the Flames kicked in goal Leafsnet?
The guy didn’t even use a stopping motion he literally angled his skate with full intention to deflect it in the net and by his lack of celebration even he assumed it was no goal. The officiating and reviews are horrible in this league.
Leafs and Marner = Gretzky Oilers 2.0
"Upon video review the goal on the ice stands – we have a good goal" said the ref like a boss
Hyman = the new Tavares

#1: This goal
But Flames in the playoffs? No goal
