i dont get the yzerplan plan at this point, three years of juston Holl? its like he has given up on all the defensive prospects to focus on KHL caliber players instead.
Toronto signs both Bertuzzi and Domi, so they will be a pain to play against, but they are both on just one-year contracts, so they might be back at square one next season.
I like power forwards.Tougher forwards is a need. But another need is a good defensive center who can handle the opposing teams top line and log a ton of minutes. We need a center who can actually win face-offs, kill penalties and score a few. I'm thinking maybe Krebs can be developed into this role…..
Honestly so many guys love granto and speak only great words about him, in the next 8 years i predict "The Don" will be a Jack Adams award winner, he maybe even have multiple, depending how the team plays

I looked into Bertuzzi trade as he (via his agent) wanted a long term deal and teams that did offer the term he wanted but was less than the 5.5mil aav he got from the leafs.
Clifton, my inital reaction was who is this guy? Then looked him up and now its sounds like a very solid D man. Both him and Johnson that signed said the Sabres are turning heads all around the league and they wanted to be part of it. I think Johnson at 1 yr and Clifton at 3 yrs is a great plan moving forward. And opens him to get revenge games against a division rival.
If we could get Wilson, we will be set for the season. He has a scoring touch as well.

I have been under the belief for years we need a Tom Wilson like player. Foligno did this for a few yrs for us but I think thatās why we drafted Brendan lemeuix back in the day. Although that little brat said he would never play for us he was exactly a piece we needed. He was a pat kaleta with more scoring capabilities. With the antics he pulls Iām kinda glad he didnt play here but I think he was supposed to be our Tom Wilson light.
