quick deserves a better farewell from the kings.the kings should have retired his jersey man he deserves that.he will always be a king legend won 2 Stanley cups
Honestly wished they sent him to a contender at the least. Now he will be the starting goalie for a team in the basement and fans that will turn on him in a heartbeat.

Korpisalo definitely playing like he did when selected as an all star. He was injured the second half of that season and hadn't looked the same until he came back from his hip surgery this year. Think it's s definite upgrade and Kings fans will be happy with the trade. Gavy is a solid dman, shot blocker, and tough. Kings fans sound depressed over making their team better. Lmao

I get it Quick has been a cornerstone on this team for a very long time…. But let's face it …we would be saying it sucks yada yada… at the end of the year.. Because we all know the Kings were not going to re sign him… So what's the difference…. They got something instead of nothing now….its not like he didn't know his time was coming to an end here .. But I get the loyalty thing too.. it's a business and we gotta get better at all cost
Im devastatedđą Quicky is the most fun goalie to watch of all time! When we reverse swept the sharks it was unreal! I cant believe we traded away quick for some short term players. Totally unfair for quick. Sadnessđą
Horrible trade by Blake. Could have sweetened the pot and traded Petersen, not Quick. Blake did a Kings legend dirty!

I agree with everything you guys said. And yeah Iâm devastated but. But we didnât do this for him to split time or back up Copley. I heard you guys questioning that. Korpisalo is here to be our number 1. Period. If that isnât the case, then this whole thing was stupid.
I saw this coming, it was either trade or retire. Quick has played bad the last 3 years or so. I also think goalies suck nowadays anyway. This also a business.
It hurt more seeing quick on the bench game after game. GKG
I'm from Chicago, and I became a Kings fan solely because of the 2013 WCF series where Quick and company put on one hell of a fight against the Hawks. The 2014 Stanley Cup Final was the first time I found myself rooting for a "backup team", even after the crazy 2014 WCF series where my Blackhawks fell to the Kings. Needless to say, Quick was a huge part of my childhood and my love for hockey, and seeing how classless this trade was makes me sick. Thanks for your input guys, I've never seen your channel before, but I'm definitely gonna stick around
Kings fan since before gretzky era in LA. If u follow kings than this was great trade by Blake. They get a starting goalie and a solid dman for aging legend and a 1st round pick. Kings just got better overnight without giving up any prospects or current roster players. Yes it's sad to see Quick depart but it was time. Quick will forever be kings best goalie and a legend. With that said, Blake gets A+ with this deal.
Luc and Blake will have to answer if this blows on their faces. By Blake hedging Petersen would be the next goalie apparent and now can't unload that contract he gave to Cal: Quickie became the odd man out.
This was my hubbyâs second season as a Kings fan, and when he talks bad about Quick, I tell him âyou donât know the Quickie I know!â đ«đ
First time listener here, and I thought maybe heâd play one more season to officially retire, because this was the last of his contract, BUT I DIDâT THINK THEY FORCE HIM OUT ETHER!!! đ€Ź
As Devils fan who had to watch them face the kings in 2012, Quick was a beast, PERIOD. really blows how they did him dirty.
Strikes me hard..a bad start to the day and for all the stalling over Chychrun itâs unfortunate. CBJ GM is essentially acquiring a goalie when they donât need wins..they want to win the lottery and Bedard. And that first round conditional pick ..could be used by CBJ to haul in Chychrun..so the whole scenario is unseemly. Both Blake and Luc were once players..also traded in sensational fashion. There were likely ways to advance this Kings season already going well..extremism doesnât mix well with team player and fanbase psychesâŠ

This hurts so much. For me quick is the reason Iâm a fan of the kings. I am a native Chicagoan and he was always my favorite player. I am a kings fan bc of him. This hurts tons
It sucks loosing Quick but he was terrible this year. Giving up the conditional 1st rounder sucks. But, if we go deep into the playoffs or even win it all, it'll be worth it. I'm glad they're at least trying to get better for that playoff push.
I'm a HABS fan so I loved the small rivalry Price and Quick had way back when. I'm so sad to see Quick not retire a king. 2 of my favorite all time goalies are now done with hockey (Quick is probably done after this season.) It was a pretty good return but still, they absolutely blind sided him.
I don't think getting the ever so slight upgrades in Gavrikov and Korpisalo are worth a first round pick and trading away a franchise legend. Granted I don't know these particular players very well but a cursory glance of research into them, while showing flashes of brilliance here and there don't necessarily wow me.
Yeah Quick may have been necessarily getting it done on the ice but it's a move that's certainly at very least annoyed the fans and team.
Unless these new guys somehow have the impact that Carter and Gaborik had or Blake uses the extra cap space to add another piece to help make this make sense I'm gonna stay mad at Blake for this deal for a good while.
Quick is good but has always been a whiner. You've had an amazing career and this is part of being a pro. Show some gratitude.
Quick in 2012 had the greatest post season ever for a goalie. .946 so pct will stand for a LONG time. As a single post season record for a team to go that deep.
Itâs not just an upgrade from Copley. Itâs a huge insurance policy. If something happened to Copley they would have been screwed. Now they have an excellent option regardless of who is #1.
Quick has continued to say he wants to keep playing. There is no way given his play this year the Kings wouldnât keep him around.
