From the Leafs standpoint this sounds like a flip.
Absolute garbage by dubas. Canโt make any sense of such a dumb trade. Weโve been begging him to trade Holl for years and instead he trades our best young d man
Leafs traded Engvall to the Islanders for a 3rd round pick and they traded this pick for Luke Schenn
Sandin whined about lack of ice time after not earning any extra time, and held out for months on latest contract. Wound up taking what Leafs originally offered. His play has improved, but his D play is suspect. Vulnerable to heavy forechecks, soft, gets hurt a lot, and prone to too many brain cramps. Other than all the above, he's fine lol. Playing under a microscope in Toronto is very tough. He will likely do better elsewhere, as he can develop easier without the heavy scrutiny.
Not sure how I feel about this one … Sandin has been hit and miss this season, but even so …
Need another goalie what happens if Samsonov goes down, all this would be for not if their goaltending fails

I want the Leafs to trade Justin Holl to the Edmonton Oilers for Connor McDavid plus the Oilers 2024 first rounder plus their 2025 3rd round draft pick while the Oilers retain 75% of McDavid's salary. Kyle, Just pick up the damn phone, ply the Oilers GM with some cheap imported moderately priced booze and get it done already!
