I’m curious if he is an AHL lifer or if he’ll claw his way to a 3rd pair job in Detroit one day.
Seems like a good guy who’s development got all fucked up by injuries.

Will Detroit be able to assign him to GR before the season starts, without him going through waivers? He’s played 3 pro seasons now, so I believe he’s waiver eligible now. I think the rule is 3 pro seasons by age 23, or 60 NHL games (which he hasn’t played one.)

Great. Hope he can get his career on track. But it seems like he might like to get a new start. He’s a Holland draft pick and there are plenty of prospects ahead of him as defensemen. Hope it works out. He’s had a tough go of it with 3 shoulder surgeries along the way and he could use a good break.
