  1. Another of those 100 best in AHL, 100 worst in nhl guys. Really needs to be a top 9, his game is not 4th line.

Now that the big trade……debrincat is done》》》》do trade dominos fall?

If a winger moves, does it open a top nine spot?

  2. They should look to trade Beauvillier imo. Expiring contract so easiest to move and for all the Garland trade talk I actually think it would be a mistake trading Garland.

  3. If he's cleaned up his defensive game there's no reason he can't be an NHL player. If he doesn't figure that part of the game out he'll bounce around the league until his career quickly fizzles out. But he'll figure it out. When he matures he might bring Jannik Hansen type energy and depth to the team.

  4. He is AHL depth skill guy that can play in the NHL in a pinch. We don't have enough of that. I have no issue with this signing, he's bury-able. I don't think anyone is going to pretend that this signing moves the needle for the Canucks though.

  5. Hoglander is an interesting player. Before he was drafted, all the highlights showed an extremely talented player who could dangle and do all sorts of nifty stuff with the puck. I think he found out pretty quick, it takes a lot more than flash to make it in the NHL. Since then, he's struggled a bit to transform his game into more of a hard working, dependable style. I think he's also improved his defensive play. I don't think he'll ever be a top 6 winger, but he could be a good 3LW. Thanks Trev!

  6. Like your channel. Hoglander need to have a really good camp. If he dont step up maybe they should consider trading him cause like you said only two more games than you lose him for nothing on waivers. Maybe half a season in abbotsford. Then deside what to do. Hope he has a really good camp and shows a bit of tocchet style game north south. He needs stamina to be good defensive.

  7. Think he needs to start this upcoming season in the AHL.. if he does well then give him chance. Wouldn't bother bringing him up if he is mediocre.

  8. Canucks need a second line Pearson Horvat? NOW Out put Hoglander back to second line need to trade someone like Garland before the season starts ?if Pearson comes back or not Top 6 lots of skills moved Garland out

  9. I wonder how many people in the comments watched Hogander's play in the AHL other than the highlight reels posted on twitter. The kid has made significant improvement in his overall game and was a positively dominant force in the playoffs where he took it to another level.
I suspect many also forget that last year at training camp he was amongst the best players on the ice. Any comments stating that he is just AHL depth that can fill in at the NHL level when needed are pretty ignorant. Sadly there are a contingent of cough "fans" in Vancouver that are just malcontent whiners and complainers that really don't know much about hockey but take pleasure in shitting on players.

Whether he starts in the AHL, NHL or gets traded he is an NHL caliber player with a lot of upside. He's quick, durable and skilled and while he is not a large frame he is unafraid to mix it up either in the corners or in the middle of the ice.
