Also signing Debrincat to a 4 x 7.875 million dollar contract extension. The Ottawa Senators get a fantastic return in Dominik Kubalik, defensive prospect Donovan Sebrango, a conditional 1st-round pick and a 4th-round pick. A return a lot better an originally thought for a team that had no leverage in a trade for Debrincat. Not signing Alex Debrincat allowed the Senators to save cap space in anticipation of trying to potentially sign free agent Vladimir Tarasenko.
