  1. Let’s see where this goes. The kid had a ton of big time personal stuff pop up, as go higher and is still only 18. Still trying to replace McBain it seems.

  2. I’m one that prematurely jumped on the draft choice w no info, I’m coming around to a bruising center prototype w all the skill we have in prospects

  3. The problem with drafting Charlie Stramel at pick #21 is not Stramel, per se – it is that this was an example of poor drafting by the MInnesota GM. Stramel should have been taken at the very bottom of the 1st round or (ideally) at the top of the 2nd round. Jim Nill whiffed and the obvious picks here were: Otto Stenberg, Quentin Musty, Gabriel Perrault, or Calum Ritchie. At #21 you should be drafting best player available and not trying to fill a perceived need, which is a bit like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Retrospectively trying to rationalize this pick at #21 just doesn't work.
