What needs to change for the Leafs to win the Cup ?? First of all, they need to relocate to an American city. The Yanks run the League now, and no Canadian team will ever win the Cup again simply because it's bad business to have a smaller market team with a weaker dollar win the Cup. Remember people, there are more people in the 5 boroughs of NYC than the entire country of Canada. That right there prices the Canadian teams out of the market.

Morgan Rielly was fantastic for us during this he should be our captain longest tenured leaf with a long contract in place

Kyle Dubious gave his star players(friends) a no move clause so we are stuck with the same formula if they aren’t traded soon. This was all about entitled players and not about the team. Also Why are we supposed to be ok with a GM “learning “ that toughness is important??? Ridiculous. A real GM knows that from day one. Also blaming Covid??? I predict no changes coming
Who are you kidding? Tavares has been getting a pass no matter what he does. Taking out the head injury he was a -7 or so in the playoffs with the leafs.

13:25 I’ve said this for about 3 years now… the guy they must get rid of is MARNER! How hard can it be to work that out? He doesn’t have a NCM (Tavares does), he doesn’t make a palatable figure (Nylander does), and he doesn’t play centre or snipe 50-odd goals every year (Mathews does)….
There would be hoards of GM’s throwing all sorts of packages at TO for Mitch “regular season only” Marner, the Leafs MUST take the best package they can get for him in the near future

The only thing stopping Toronto: crippling media pressure and expectations. They could have a team canada roster without the salary cap restrictions and still lose to your florida/tampa/columbus etc. Low expectation markets who know they have no pressure
I hate when people say, this teams too Soft to win, and they need some guys to fight and hit ya, like there talking in the 80s but honestly it’s true, every team needs those guys like Adam said.
I thought Mattews was very similar to Ovi, big guy 6’3 220. Score a lot of goals, the difference is Ovi, will hit, he will fight, he will make not wanna play against him, on top of being the best player on the ice he will beat you up, that’s what mattews should be a guy he can drop a Hattrick on you and beat you up, that’s what he should be but he’s not, and I love Matthews and wish he’s wins a cup with the leafs, but some guys on the team need Killers, and Matthews is great but he’s not a killer, I hope he proves me wrong one day
i want some of what you're smoking "Dubas has done the best job he could with this team" He was the one that signed the contracts this is on him he kept them year after year. Funny guys!
