One of the GREATEST saves I’ve ever seen

Do you remember that remarkable save Braden Holtby made on Alex Tuch back in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final? Well, tonight, Adin Hill matched it with one of his own. Not just that, it was in the Stanley Cup Final, in the SAME arena, the SAME end of the ice and very much the SAME save. This was one of the greatest saves I have ever seen and certainly the greatest save of these 2023 NHL Playoffs. As for the game, it was a great one! The Florida Panthers taking on the Vegas Golden Knights in game one of the Stanley Cup Final was everything I hoped it would be and I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. lol the mafia thinks having both their teams play in vegas will save the city …. fook the nhl … so friggin rigged now and the players are all limp wristed

  2. personally i dont think that lucky desparation saves are the "greatest" saves I've ever seen but its still a good save!

  3. idk not really a good save? guy launches himself out of position for no reason and flails backwards getting a lucky stick on it? Great saves arent luck.

  4. This was a great save but not really even close to the category of one of the best of all time .normally the player is able to elevate the. Puck there and the goalie is made to look ridiculous and out of position .The player got lazy and kept the puck along the ice.

  6. i disagee about this being a great save. i see it as way more of a fuck up by cousins. you gotta slam that thing home even if you think you have an easy tap in goal. ur playing for the cup here.

  7. Hill is turning out to be a stud….Thompson is too…Vegas goalies omg….

  8. Please…as a Preds fan…it's just Nick Cousins ffs. This is what he does…fails to convert when his team needs him to. This is more a failure of him than it is a spectacular game-saving stop by Hill.

  9. You haven't seen many great saves if you think that is one of the greatest you have ever seen. It was a great save but it was more a bad shot/effort by Cousins than a great save. There are similar saves to that where the goalie had to make the save on a shot rising in the air that is 10x better than this and this type of save happens a lot more often than you think. You can literally type in paddle saves here and see just how often it's done.

  10. After he made that save I texted my friend saying if we win the cup I’m buying an Adin Hill jersey purely because of this save. It was insane to watch in person. I loved Hill during his healthy stints in the regular season this year, and am happy to be seeing him playing so well because I just had this gut-feeling he was starter quality if injuries could not get in the way. And here we are. He is such a great Goalie and brings absolute magic to the net. Huge local fan favorite

  11. Cousins could've easily put the puck in the net, he lacks the real goal scorer ability to follow up to the net after shooting. Why the heck was he moving to the right side after redirecting?

  12. It was even more amazing as it prevented Florida from taking the lead a second time in the game. Right at the beginning of the 2nd period. Momentum in team sports is a very real thing!!!

  13. This IS NOT. a great save…this is a goaltender doing everything right and getting very lucky. The key to this is he didn't give up, he threw everything he could at the puck…the truly great saves often go unnoticed by anyone but other goaltenders.

  14. I haven't watched and I will not be watching but that was one great save. This final doesn't interest me at all sadly.

Also, Cousins getting a penalty for going after the goalie isn't weird to me!

  16. Everyone claiming “Bad shot,” has clearly never played hockey. Perfectly executed designed passing play got the goalie out of position. No goalie makes that save. Cousins and any other player knows they just gotta get a stick on it and put it on net and it’s a goal. Adin Hill is 6’6 and needed full extension there. Attempting to lift that puck is opens up opportunity to not get puck on net due to bad bounce. I bet they practice that play all the time and always just need to deflect it on net.

Give Hill his credit you pretender hockey fans.

  17. Nabokov vs. Dallas… greatest save ever —- these are cute saves……

  18. What's funny is that this may not even be the best VGK save of the year. Go back and watch Laurent Brossoit's OT save against Dallas on Feb. 25th.
