  1. I really hope we Trade garland for 2 good Young 3rd liners and maybe a pick

  2. The only way I’d move Nils is as a sweetener to get rid of a bigger contract. But knowing this bunch, they’ll just waste the space again on someone else so they can finish 10th in the Conference.

  3. Mock trade:

    To NSH: 2025 4th rd
    Nils Hoglander
    Tyler Myers

    To VAN: Dante Fabbro

  4. garland and boeser can't get what they are worth right now in a trade. the league is broke. nicholas roy and chandler stephenson went for a 4th and 5th pick respectively to vegas and i would take them over garland and boeser. i get the feeling alvin isn't aware just where the market is right now. if they can get 2nd rounders, do it and move on and try to bank the freed up cap space for once.

  5. For Hoglander there is only Schenn there to protect him along with Miller. The team is slightly tougher now than it was then. He still might bring fury on himself where he would pretty much get chased off the ice. Marbles get a lot bigger when you know you are protected. Montreal and Vegas have guys that would make him look good. Schenn is gone and we really only have the two new defensemen and Miller to patrol the ice. We still have to many small players. Teams will still try and push us around because of the teams size over all. I can see him getting beat up at least twice this coming season if he gets ice time. And by guys at least 15 pounds heavier. If he plays his game. And Podz has not been the same since he was throttled in a fight. Need to fight back if we start hitting and we still lack essential toughness. One spot that needs to be addressed. Pretty much all the forwards are soft except Miller.

  6. Most of the league is cap strapped. I think the most likely scenario is Boeser but Canucks need to retain some salary for another team to be interested. You will still not get much, maybe a 4th or 5th round pick. So would you retain $2m for two years to get rid of Boeser? I would, it would ensure Hoglander and Podkolzin would play most nights if they were contributing.
