  1. Imagine if he got 1st line ice time for most of his career. Remember his 2012 MVP season.

Geno would be an all-time great center.

He still is anyway despite Crosby on the same team as him.

  2. The most by far. A beast a leader a playmaker a sniper give me a reason he shouldn't be on the top 100! This guy dose nothing but dominate. He should be conn smyth x2 after this year

  3. he has played the same way since his second season. always funny when people make shit up about Malkin

  4. Geno has to be one of the most underrated elite players in the league. And he's anything but a grinder. His skill level in all aspects of the game are off the charts. He's a scoring machine who can't be intimidated and will play in those physical dirty games where the refs seemingly lost there whistles. Malkins point totals would be significantly higher if he got better linemates rather than Sids hand me downs. At times he's had to do it all on his own. He is the only player who has come close to displaying Lemieux type talent and its amazing to watch.

  5. Malkin is my favorite player hands down, he is just as important as Crosby. Geno may very well be the 2nd best center or 1B only to Crosby. He is vastly underrated. Top 100 easy. Top 30 in my opinion of all time.

  6. Uh huh! Look, when Sid's injured Malkin steps up another notch if that's even possible. Just goes ta show u man…

  7. obviously he is overlooked often because he's on the same team with Crosby, but it's also because he's Russian. It certainly isn't as bad as it used to be, but there is still a bit of bias in North American sports' media towards Canadian and American Players over European. Malkin's success is also often tied to being able to play alongside Crosby, but in actuality they are rarely on the ice at the same time. Pittsburgh hockey fans are incredibly spoiled, wow!
Look at the current season, even with his injuries and the shortened season due to covid19, Malkin's put up 74 points in 55 games surpassing his total from last season where he played 68 games and scored 72 points. His face-off percentage and defensive play is better than ever, and he's 33 years old. He decided last summer that he wasn't going to just slowly fade into the background, and is suddenly playing like he's in his prime again!
