I noticed Rahm was pushed forward on the way through it. That was excellent video ,thanks Tom God Bless
Staying over the ball is the one thing most ams don't do. This is the one drill I am trying to ingrain. Stay still over the ball and your chances of returning the club to the ball increases 10 fold.
His weight may be over the ball but his pressure is incredibly into his trail side during the back swing. I’ve only recently learnt of the difference between weight vs pressure during the golf swing
On the downswing, are you suppose to use more of your left hand/wrist than the right?
In this swing, how exactly are you supposed to clear your hips? When I try just to feel stepping on my left foot to push it back, I end up, jumping in the air and or standing up.
This is worth a million dollars
These videos have done a lot of good to my game over the last year. My shots are more solid and consistent. Thanks Saguto!
I seen a video that said the weight forward is just a trick on your mind when feeling weight forward you still shift your weight but you do it unconsciously that’s why some pros look like they are over the ball more because they do have weight forward but they are shifting weight unconsciously
He still weight transfers but stays over the ball without swaying, ppl should remember that weight transfer is still there and it doesn’t just stay on the front foot
"Swaaay"
I do the same
Great Tip ⛳️💥🏌️♂️
This is golden advice. Staying centered equates to amazing ball striking. Thanks, Tom. I am heading down to Traditions for a dialed in lesson from you. Thank you.
This was the reason Hogan wrote about the importance of the right knew being kinked in toward the left. Try swaying to the right on the backswing while purposely keeping the right knee angled in toward the left as much as possible. It's impossible. Rahm has a bit of right knee angle too, just not as much as Hogan did.
This guy really loads his weight into the right hip nicely on the backswing. Pure swing
The only person weekend golfers need to listen to is moe Norman. Most people would happily shoot a million, if they could his the fairway and be near the green on every hole. But we don’t teach that, it’s always some master move when it’s actually very simple.

I don't understand why you don't have many more likes. Your tips are great and the way you communicate is great. Good man 👊🏾
Swaaay 👊
Sounded thin
Thanks. Is this for drives or chips too?
Rahmbasaurus Rex
I can watch this all day. The hard thing is putting into practice 😫
He does move tho
..you make it seem like stack and tilt….he's allows his weight to flow into his trail heal…he doesn't stay over the ball
This is literally the opposite of what Jon Rahm himself says he does. He says he tries his best to shift weight into his trail side and not get stuck on the lead leg during the backswing.
Best instruction on YT
🔥🔥🔥
Rham's swing is his due to having one leg shorter and weaker than the other, he has 2 different size feet also.
He pressure shifts into the right foot super early and moves off the ball an inch. Then recenters.
Bigger golfers can’t sway much…
Shouldn’t have to, it’s just a little ball.
Why do these vids seem like there from the 70s
I struggle to keep my trailing arm on the swing for some reason. I guess I need to work on my flexibility 😂
The old school way of thinking about weight transfer is obsolete. Almost no weight transfer is preferable.
There is not supposed to be hip sway away from the ball in the backswing
Sounded kinda clanky
How many different players have won a major? What is the average number of majors for each after normalizing by your wins?
Want to laugh at the end of your statement!!
Rahm transferred his whole body 200lbs solid weight multiply by 10 into his left leg to get that short power swing without a single sway😂😂😂
There is a small shift to his rear followed by a recentering move.
Thank you for another beautiful piece of advice, I'll go watch more Jon Rahm videos😎
Wow, Tom. Your videos are like truly free golf lessons. They’re not gimmick tips and tricks. They actually work! I feel indebted to you.
Needed to see this. Been trying to focus more on hip rotation and have succumbed to the sway. Thanks Tom you’re the man
