You do get that sense that if Couturier & Atkins have nice comeback years combined with younger players improving that this is once again a bubble playoff team (which is not good place to be in year 1 of rebuild). There are so many more trades that needed to be completed but because of Fletchers amazing ability to lock up Flyers Salary Cap that it will take years to shed many of these aging players who will require Flyers to take back some Salary in order to acquire assets.
As for poll question: I think Travis Sanheim takes biggest step forward this year. I feel like he was blindsided by Flyers attempting to trade him so soon after signing extension. Big year for him as he steps up his offensive game.
I used to work for a pizza joint in San Diego in the early 90s. The only "normal" pizza they had was pepperoni. Everyone's favorite was the Thai Chicken pizza. Peanut butter base with a spicy Thai sauce. It of course had chicken. Also had things like peanuts, cilantro and bean sprouts. There was a Chicken Pesto pizza. Pesto sauce. Pine nuts. Bean sprouts. Lol. I never even heard of Pesto sauce before then. Hawaiian pizza. Pineapple and i think tomatoes was the other. Another one featured Feta cheese. A Greek pizza.
How many years will it take before the Flyers can say they are totally free of Chuck Fletcher's poor decisions?
