The Leafs are among the stupidest teams in the NHL. They will never win another Stanley Cup … well not in the next decade. The fans deserve better.
Term. You need to discuss term when you’re talking about Max Domi this is likely his last chance at a decent contract. Domi wants term.
Some of our problems would've been solved had we re-signed Acciari, especially for that price.
I've coached and managed Men's hockey teams, while not at a professional level, some played at varying levels of professional hockey. We need to keep in mind that giving a young man millions of dollars, does change him from being a young man. The signing of David Kampf, seems odd considering, his contribution to the team. But if he has become a person who fits well with the Pent House Tenants (players), they will want him to stay. Simple as that. After all, if nothing else, TML know how to run a comfortable Social Club, and Treliving is a property manager.
But you all thought Justin Holl is the worst player in NHL history and losing him would be addition by subtraction. He's gone and so is kerfoot so it should mean a cup for them roght?
I mean everything was there fault so the rest should be easy.
It will be a fun moment because of being Tie Domi's son so he'll be another fan favourite much like Ryan Reaves. However, does it really change that much. I still feel they lost so much of the depth that at best it might make them as good as last season but bringing in Domi is basically replacing Bunting and yeah he can also play center but he's better and more efficient as a winger, I still think not having a good 3rd line center is going to hurt them as much as everyone loves Kampf for his defensive play, penalty killing and face off ability can he really bring enough offense and be a difference maker when they team needs secondary scoring, I hesitate to believe so. Hope BT has something up his sleeve because there is no realistic way anyone can say they are currently better today or even if they brought in Domi that they are better. Was really hoping for Duchene yesterday for 3 m he would have been perfect playing the Ryan O'Reilly role under 4.5 m
Keeping Sheldon Keefe. As the just fired manger is walking out he meets the new guy and says to him Good Luck I put two envelops in your desk for when you need some help. The new guy laughs and says thanks. About 20 games into the season, the record is not good the media and fans are really complaining, So new guy opens the first letter it says, "Blame every thing on the fired manager". So he does and makes a couple of moves, the team does better. But it goes real bad after Christmas, he opens the second letter it says it says "fire the coach" and prepare two envelopes.
If they can dump Murray and Timmins, and sign Samsonov for 4 mil or less they have a good shot at signining both Bertuzzi and Domi. Bertuzzi con be signed for 5.5 mil and Domi for 3. Then the roster would look like:

Tavares Domi Nylander
Robertson Kampf Jarnkrok

Yes, I put Tavares on the left and Domi at Center but it can go either way. Not a bad starting roster.
It would be so nice if we got Bertuzzi but, you're right we won't be able to afford him.
If they pick up one of them then they'll make a Frenchie look a little better but losing all that death leaves a sting

After watching free agent day, I'm starting to doubt Treliviing can get anything done other than a disapointment.

Klinger is a far far better player than Gustavsson lol. They aren't the same just because Points lol
Reaves is fine, he'll win everyone over when he beats the shit out guys who take liberties on the team.
Kampf is a better player than Acciari. I'd have liked to keep acciari too but Kampf is Better defensivley, better pker and can win you draws. The Hits acciari brought were awesome no doubt, but Reaves brings that and more.
Just because reaves isn't on the ice at the exact moment a hit is thrown, dosent mean he can't be put out there later on in the game does it? I don't understand your logic here Andy
TRADE .. Morgan Reilly & Nylander … Then ,,,..Bertuzzi & Domi .. " Might " .. Be Possible .. then getting Klingberg makes sense .. Sounds good to me ..

Unless the Leafs pick up EK 65 then all the Leaf fans need to take up basket weaving as it is going to be a very long and cold winter , at least they will be on the golf course early .
The only way to make real changes is to stop paying for those extreme ticket prices and not go to the games. You'll then see how fast management get things in order when their bottom dollar is threatened.
Domi and bertuzzi . Get them both bit of skill and sand paper..

I Agree with you Andrew. I believe that at this point., The Leafs are worse.
Obvious you don’t like David Kampf. You need a 3rd line center who’s good in the circle as well as a shut down guy and a pretty good penalty killer he’s getting 9.6 million over 4 years and 21 points not great but not bad in comparison Ryan O’Reilly getting 18 million over 4 years with 41 points last year. When you spend as much money as the leafs have on the top four there’s not gonna be a lot of money left around for anybody else, Matthews is getting a raise so is Nylander so if each get 2 million there’s goes your 4 million dollar player. The Cap is what it is. But that being said it’s absolutely embarrassing when the leafs get manhandled by other teams nobody steps up, me personally l like the Reaves signing just maybe they all can play a little bigger. Most 4th line players only get 7 minutes a game it’s what you do with your 7 minutes. As for Kiingberg the power play needs a shot in the arm as well as a general back there and it’s better to pay him 4.15 million than to pay Holl 3.4 million for 3 years. The powers that be ( management) seems to think the Leafs are soft, maybe they feel they need more grit.

If the Living Tree can land these two it would make up for him spending that money on Kampf instead of Schenn. The bud's need guys who are hard to play against and can provide offense. These two fellas tick both boxes.
Domi or Bertuzzi one or the other is fine with me but could they move Jarnkork to the second line and put Domi or Bertuzzi that would provide space for Marner or Mathews and if Klingberg is weak defensively and you know that then why does not someone teach him to be better defensively is that not what practice and coaching is it not the job of a coach to teach the players to be better so if Klingberg is weak defensively and everybody knows it then why was that problem not fixed by the other teams he has played for pro players can still learn to be better at there game so he gives up few goals teach him to be a better two way player and the goals will come REMEMBER BOBBY ORR .
Max domi alone doesnt do anything lol. Love nylander but they gotta trade him otherwise we only have 2 lines.
If the Leafs are saying they're interested in these guys it means they'll be signed somewhere else before you're done watching this video.
Let's not forget that lot of players don't want to play in Canada so maybe Gust and Acciari just don't want to stay.

Sign Bertuzzi at 4×5 million and Domi at 2×3 million put Murray on LITR and sign Samsanov at 2×3.5 million

Agree with all of your points except your comments about Ryan Reaves! It’s completely irrelevant whether he’s on the ice with Matthews and Marner. Bennett isn’t chokeslamming Knies behind the net if there is a Reaves on the bench. That’s a fact. The fear factor is very real. Leafs have gotten bullied year after year in the playoffs because there was no one on the bench to do anything about it. Simmonds doesn’t count because he was tough but there were a lot of

Hey Andrew, The Klingberg signing is genius. He was a top 10 defenseman in the league 2 years ago and he turned down 7 mil X 8 years. The Ryan Reeves signing is genius too. Don't underestimate Treliving. His moves are very smart but sometimes not obvious. he has been was better than Dubas so far. Look at the Leafs picks until 2026 and what we have left after Dubas left. All free agent signings will look bad because there is a bidding war for players and we had 10 UFAs.

Kampf kills penalties and is the only centre the leafs have to take draws on the kill. Also a great defensive centre overall.
At 2.5, it's a great deal. Yes, I'd love to have not had to give him a raise, but to keep him, well worth the money.
