  1. Crazy fact about the WHL playoff format that the NHL DOES NOT share:
After just one round of the playoffs, the WHL reseeds teams based on regular season points.
Now, we know that the NHL uses their format to limit travel early in the playoffs (so that, should OT occur, teams aren't travelling on less than 36 hours).
It's actually extremely unhealthy to deprive oneself of sleep should you undergo overt physical exertion as well.
Because teams aren't given precedence due to division leader though, Saskatoon was immediately given home ice advantage, despite Red Deer winning the Central.
In effect, that means that the Blades had to extend the series on the road BUT was given the advantage to end the series at home.
It's just too bad this game played out while the Lind kid was on concussion protocol.
Not a great look that that's how Saskatoon's comeback technically started.
It makes me wonder if that was enough to shift momentum.

  2. The fact that the blades had home ice advantage to complete this comeback makes it even more hype and I’m not even a blades fan
